Rapper TI released from prison early

A reality TV show will follow his exploits on the outside

Rapper TI has been released from prison early.

The Atlanta artist was banged up for 11 months in an Arkansas prison for probation violation after an arrest for drugs charges, but will now serve the rest of his sentence in a halfway house, reports MTV News.

The rapper has wasted no time in getting onto Twitter to announce his semi-freedom. He wrote:

Feels great to be back where I belong… Back in the arms of those who need me the most… The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!

A new VH1 show will be documenting TI’s experiences out of prison. The show, which will premiere in the United States on December 5, will follow TI and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris and see him try “to walk the straight and narrow and stay out of prison for good”.

This will be TI‘s second reality show. In 2009 he fronted an MTV programme entitled TI’s Road To Redemption.
