A 25 year old woman has died in an accident whilst returning home from Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Jacqueline Michon was crushed by a truck after losing her footing on her bicycle and falling under the truck’s rear axle.

The incident happened on Saturday night (August 6). After the bands had finished, Michon was cycling to her apartment, whilst the five friends who were staying with her took the train, reports Billboard.com. Michon was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the truck driver.

Two men were also injured on the Friday near to Grant Park, Chicago, which is where the yearly Lollapalooza event is held. A car hit two men as they tried to run across the road. The incident happened just as Eminem was taking to the stage, but it is unknown if the two men – who are in a serious to critical condition – were leaving the festival site.

The two unnamed men were taken to hospital after the incident. The driver stayed on the scene and has not been charged.

Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Muse were amongst the acts playing the three-day festival.
