David Cameron is Shockwaves NME Awards Villain Of The Year

Prime Minister gets a kicking from NME readers and NME.COM users

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has been named Villain Of The Year at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011 tonight (February 23).

NME readers and NME.COM users voted for him to get the dubious honour ahead of nominees Axl Rose, Simon Cowell, Justin Bieber and his Deputy PM Nick Clegg.

Past recipients include George W Bush and, in 2010, Kanye West.

NME.COM is coming live from the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011 ceremony at London‘s O2 Academy Brixton tonight. Keep checking NME.COM/awards for news, photo galleries, blogs, video interviews and more.
