Reading And Leeds Festivals weather forecast – three days to go

Will it be rain or shine on the sites?

The Reading And Leeds Festivals take place this weekend (August 27-29), and with three days to go until the events kick off the weather forecasts have been coming in.

According to BBC Weather the Leeds site will feature light rain on Friday with temperatures peaking as 15 degrees Celcius. Similar temperatures are predicted for Saturday but with sunny intervals.

However, the Metcheck weather service predicts that it will be sunny in Leeds on Friday. It is also predicted that it will be sunny but cloudy on Sunday on the site, and with no rain.

At Reading BBC Weather predicts sunny weather for Friday and Saturday with temperatures peaking at 19 degrees Celcius on Friday and 18 on Saturday.

Metcheck predicts sunny but cloudy conditions on Sunday in Reading with a tiny amount of rain.

Meanwhile, the line-ups for the Instigate Debate panels for this year’s forum chats on the Alternative Stage have been finalised. On the Leeds site at 11:30am (BST) on Friday Stornoway‘s Oliver Steadman, Reverend And The Makers’ Jon McClure, NME‘s Laura Snapes and NME reader Emily Cotterill will debate music, politics and anything else with help from the crowd.

In Reading at 11:30am on Saturday the panel will comprise of radio DJ Steve Lamacq, BabyshamblesDrew McConnell, Rage Against The Machine Christmas number one campaign organisers Jon and Tracy Morter and NME reader Rosie Balfour-Lynn.
