N-Dubz’ Dappy and Fazer release statement about rape inquiry

Pair say they have agreed to help police with case

N-DubzDappy and Fazer have agreed to help police with their investigation into an alleged rape, they confirmed in a statement.

The incident is said to have taken place at Butlins holiday camp in Skegness in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 14) after the band performed at the Naughty Reunion event.

22-year-old Junior Edwards has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and common assault but released on police bail.

Now N-Dubz‘s manager Jonathan Shalit has issued a statement saying they will help police with their inquiries, reports the Guardian.

“The three members of N-Dubz were 100% not involved,” he said. “The police have asked people at the aftershow party, including N-Dubz, to voluntarily give witness statements in the next few days which they, of course, will willingly do.

N-Dubz are very responsible to their young fans and have naturally told Junior Edwards that he is to keep well away until the charges are dropped.

“The police have confirmed that no-one [besides Edwards] is being treated as suspects. Any suggestion otherwise is totally misleading in its inference.”
