Adele, Friendly Fires label boss responds to Robert Pattinson’s record deal plea

'Twilight' star reportedly says he wishes he was signed to XL

The Twilight Saga actor Robert Pattinson has been snubbed by the boss of Adele and The xx‘s record label XL Recordings, after supposedly saying he wanted to be sign a deal with the company.

XL boss Richard Russell took to after he heard Pattinson had said that if he were to pursue music full-time he would want to do so on XL.

Russell tweeted: “I would guess RP would much rather be a musician than an actor. It’s closer to God. I don’t think I could help him though (Robert Pattinson, not God).”

Pattinson recently said he hoped to resurrect his music career and play live onstage again. He contributed a track called ‘Never Think’ to the soundtrack for the first film of The Twilight Saga and three songs to the soundtrack of the 2008 film How To Be.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1, he said: “I’d like to start performing again because I haven’t done it in so many years now. It makes such a difference in your life. If you’ve ever done it once it’s very addictive.”
