Jedward ‘sign with Universal’ the day after being dropped by Sony

'X Factor' pair reportedly back with a deal

Jedward have reportedly signed a deal with the Universal record label – the day after being dropped by Sony Music.

Yesterday (March 16) it was reported that the former X Factor contestants – real names John and Edward Grimes – had been dropped after their debut single ‘Under Pressure’ under-performed in the charts.

However, gossip website has reported that Universal have since snapped them up – although details of their future release plans are yet to be revealed.

The pair’s manager, Louis Walsh, had said that he was “in talks” about sorting a new deal for them after news of them leaving Sony initially broke.
