Record Store Day to feature rare Franz Ferdinand, Graham Coxon releases

It takes place across the UK this April

Artists including Graham Coxon, Franz Ferdinand, The Stooges, Sonic Youth and Tom Waits are offering rare or unreleased material as part of this year’s Record Store Day.

Record Store Day celebrates the culture and purpose of independent record shops, and takes place across over 50 independent stores in the UK on April 18.

A number of exclusive Record Store Day CDs and vinyl releases are being released in accordance of the day, many of which are limited to 500 copies.

Among the new releases is a limited edition single by Graham Coxon (‘In The Morning’), rare tracks from Sonic Youth, Beck and Franz Ferdinand and vinyl re-releases from The Smiths, New Order and The Stooges.

Record labels participating in Record Store Day are Matador, Rhino, Anti, Nonesuch, Numero, Holy Mountain, Forte Distribution, Transgressive, Thrill Jockey, Secretly Canadian, Domino and Touch And Go.
