Frontman Ray Gun says sorry to his band mates and Delia Smith
Raygun singer Ray Gun has apologised for the comments he made in a TV interview that went viral online earlier this week (beginning August 3).
The frontman was responding to a TV interview with his band that, when posted on YouTube, resulted in relentless mockery from users because of the clichéd comments he made.

Gun issued a statement to Holy Moly apologising to both his bandmates and TV chef Delia Smith – as he used the term “Psychedelia Smith” to describe his band’s sound.
“I’m sorry to my bandmates Adj, Sam and the other one,” he wrote in a self-depricating but mildly comical tone. “I apologise to Delia Smith and to the concept of psychedelia. What I did to you both was unforgivable.”
Referring to an analogy he made in the interview, he added: “I now fully accept that if you stuck Iggy Pop, James Brown, David Bowie and Shirley Bassey in a lift you would basically just have Iggy Pop, James Brown, David Bowie and Shirley Bassey in a lift. You would not have our music. You would have three famous singers and a dead one.”
He signed off with a plea: “I close by thanking you for your time and requesting that my band and I are now afforded some space, and some time, to consider these awful events and to rebuild our lives.
“This is now a band matter and I respectfully ask that we are permitted to move forward in private.”
