All Points West invites Friday ticket-holders back for free

Yesterday's crowd can go again today or tomorrow

All Points West organisers have invited ticket-holders for yesterday’s (July 31) show back today or tomorrow for free.

Many concert-goers left the event early yesterday due to torrential rain at the New Jersey festival, while those who stayed endured an electrical storm and extremely muddy conditions.

In a message on the festival website last night, organisers said:

“Special Alert – APW Friday Ticket Holders
Friday, July 31, 2009

Due to today’s stormy weather, we’d like to invite Friday ticket holders to be our guests at the festival on Saturday or Sunday.

Simply bring your Friday ticket or Friday ticket stub for entry into your choice of Saturday or Sunday.
(excludes transportation)

Hope to see you back here this weekend.

All the best,

APW Festival Team”

Yesterday’s event saw performances from Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, headliner Jay-Z and more. As previously reported, Jay-Z covered the Beastie Boys ‘No Sleep ‘Till Brooklyn’, having replaced the band at the last minute due to the cancer diagnosis of Adam Yauch.

Today will see slots form Arctic Monkeys, My Bloody Valentine, Tool and more.
