The Manchester singer will release 'Friction' in early 2008
(We Are) Performance frontman Joe Stretch is to publish his first novel in the new year.
The Manchester electro-punk band are currently touring the UK with We Start Fires, and released their debut album earlier this year.
In the meantime, however, the singer has signed another deal earlier this year, with publishers Random House.
The 25-year-old’s first novel, ‘Friction’, will be published in March, and is already being heralded in literary circles as one of next year’s big hits. You can listen to an excerpt from the book at his Myspace.
Meanwhile, as the band’s tour continues, Stretch is writing an exclusive diary for NME.COM which, alongside video footage and music from the band, can be found on our Too Much Information blog.
