Both acts scheduled to play the Cornwall-based festival in August
Running between August 10-14, Boardmasters is based on the coast at Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach in Cornwall. The band and solo singer-songwriter are joining the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Craig David, Sigma and many more.
Wolf Alice were recently nominated for Best British Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards, and Best Rock Performance for ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’ at the Grammys. Responding to news of the latter via Facebook, Wolf Alice posted a photograph with a caption that read, “HOLY SHIT GOT A GRAMMY NOMMER BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE PROPER CHUFFED U ROCK LISA SIMPSON XXX”
This week, Wolf Alice also performed an intimate gig at Nambucca on Holloway Road, a 300-capacity venue on Tuesday night (February 2). As DIY reported, all proceeds from the show will be donated to the UN Refugee Agency. The charity provides support to Syrian families seeking refuge in Jordan.
His first night at the 5,000 capacity venue will take place on March 29 with two further gigs following over the next two nights.
The dates follow the release of Bay’s debut album ‘Chaos and The Calm’ in March of last year. The album features the singles ‘Hold Back The River’ and ‘Let It Go’ with Bay having performed at many UK festivals throughout last summer, including Glastonbury, V Festival and Festival No. 6.
