A fire has broken out next to the site of the Benicassim festival tonight (July 17) on an area used by many festival-goers to get to and from the site.
Watch video footage of the blaze by clicking below.
At 9:30PM (CEST) a large area of long grass and trees next to the CN-340 road in the Spanish town, which runs adjacent to the festival grounds, was engulfed in flames, with much of it burned down to cinders.
As of 10pm no ambulances were on site and there were no reported injuries. The blaze had died down and looked to not be spreading further.
Road traffic controllers were called to direct traffic through the busy CN-340 road, while fire trucks were seen arriving on site.
The musical action continued uninterrupted, with Paul Weller playing on the Escenario Verde stage as smoke billowed near the festival site.
The area that caught fire was used as a walk-way by many Benicassim festival ticket-holders travelling between the residential/beach area of the town and the festival site before the musical action kicked off earlier tonight.
