Legendary director John Carpenter announces ‘Lost Themes II’ album

The horror auteur will also play UK live dates and Primavera Sound

Horror film director John Carpenter has today announced the details for his second studio album ‘Lost Themes II’.

The new album, set for release on April 15, is a further foray into music production for Carpenter after he released debut album ‘Lost Themes’ via Sacred Bones in 2015.

Last year, Carpenter revealed he had next to no musical training in an interview with Resident Advisor – despite being hailed for his soundtrack work, much of which was produced on famously low budgets.

The album was co-produced by Cory Carpenter and Daniel Davies, Carpenter’s son and godson respectively. The tracklisting is as follows:

‘Distant Dream’
‘White Pulse’
‘Angel’s Asylum’
‘Hofner Dawn’
‘Windy Death’
‘Dark Blues’
‘Virtual Survivor’
‘Bela Lugosi’
‘Last Sunrise’
‘Utopian Façade’

The announcement is also followed by news that Carpenter will be playing his first ever live shows to date, including dates at Primavera Sound, ATP Iceland and in the UK.

Carpenter will play:

Primavera Sound, Barcelona (June 2)
ATP Iceland, Ásbrú (July 1-3)
Albert Hall, Manchester (October 28, 29)
Troxy, London (31)
