Ticket holders for cancelled Redfest offered alternative festival

Standon Calling organisers step in to offer a ticket exchange

Ticket holders for the cancelled Redfest have been given the chance to exchange their tickets for a pass to a similar festival.

Standon Calling takes place on August 1-3 in the grounds of a manor house in Hertfordshire, and Redfest punters can either exchange their tickets for a two-day pass to it, or upgrade their ticket through G Tickets for a full weekend pass.

Alex Trenchard from Standon Calling said: “We know from our own experience how tough it is to get a festival going so we really felt for Redfest when they had to cancel in their first year. We’re really looking forward to welcoming new friends into the heart of Standon.”

Matt Nichols from Redfest welcomed the offer, saying: “With Standon Calling, people will have the chance to see some of the same bands in a similarly intimate festival setting. We also really like their whole ethos and it’s a great opportunity for Redfest ticket holders to enjoy the same type of independent event they were really looking forward to.”

Bands playing at Standon Calling include Super Furry Animals, Mystery Jets, The Maccabees, Glasvegas, Late Of The Pier and Florence And The Machine.
