Nadja Benaissa, a member of German girl group No Angels, has been arrested on suspicion of knowingly having unprotected sex with three men without telling them she was HIV positive.

The star was arrested on Saturday (April 11) in Frankfurt prior to a scheduled solo gig, reports BBC News.

The singer is accused of sleeping with the three men between 2004 and 2006 without informing them of her diagnosis, and faces possible charges of grevious bodily harm.

No Angels formed in 2000 on the German TV show ‘Popstars’, and have since become the country’s most successful girl band.
