‘X Factor’ duo Reggie N Bollie sign deal with Simon Cowell’s label

Pair finished second in 2015 series

X Factor duo Reggie N Bollie have signed a record deal with Simon Cowell’s label Syco.

The duo finished second in last year’s series, finishing behind eventual winner Louisa Johnson. Reggie N Bollie’s performances included a high energy versions of One Direction hit ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and culminated in a live collaboration with Craig David.

Speaking about their record deal, the pair said: “We are so happy to be joining the Syco Music family and releasing our record with them. It is, literally, a dream come true for us to now do what we love for a living. We promise to work hard and show you all what Reggie and Bollie are made of. Here’s to a fun 2016.”

Viewing figures for last year’s X Factor were down on 2014 with just 8.4m tuning into the final, the second lowest figure in the ITV show’s history.

Since launching in 2004, Simon Cowell’s talent search has routinely attracted ratings over over 10m. However, the 2015 series struggled to pick up viewers and routinely scored lower figures than its Saturday night rival Strictly Come Dancing.

Reggie N Bollie will celebrate their record deal on the X Factor arena tour, which begins in Aberdeen in February night.

Syco is home to a number of X Factor-affiliated artists, including alumni, including Little Mix, One Direction and Ella Henderson.
