Drummers and bands to be put together by online ‘dating’ service

Imagine a Myspace but just full of drummers...

Drummers are getting a “computer dating”-esque service to link them up with potential new bands.

As anyone who has ever tried to start a band will probably know, while there are usually plenty of guitarists and singers of varying quality around, finding someone who can competently sit behind the kit can be tough.

Drummerhunter.com is aiming to put available drummers and would-be bands together, using a profile system like those used on dating websites or networks likes Myspace.

Drummers can post up their contacts, MP3s, acts they like and genres they can play for free, and bands can search the profiles and contact the sticksmen directly.

So if any band is looking for a drummer whose tastes mix Ryan Adams with Van Halen and lives in Austin, Texas we suggest you check out “Lancejrock” now.
