Country star being treated in hospital
Country singer Mindy McCready has apparently attempted suicide and is being treated in hospital in Nashville after allegedly cutting her wrists and taking pills.
Nashville police say she was found in her home by her brother with cut wrists after a night out, and was described as “intoxicated”, reports BBC News.
According to a hospital spokesperson the singer is in a “stable” condition.
McCready has had a turbulent relationship with the law, serving 30 days in jail in October for breaking probation for a drug charge.
The star has not released an album since her 2002 self-titled effort, although had been working on a comeback.
