Muse, Foo Fighters and Ryan Adams have been announced as the headliners for Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival.
The big name acts join a bill that also includes Motorhead, Johnny Marr, Of Monsters and Men, Ride, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Happy Mondays and FKA Twigs.
The Japanese festival, which takes place at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture on July 24 – 26, is now in its 19th year and drew an audience of 102,000 people last summer. Tickets can be purchased from the festival website now.
Foo Fighters previously confirmed they are to headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival in their acceptance speech for Best International Band supported by Austin, Texas – The Live Music Capital Of The World® at the NME Awards 2015 with Austin, Texas. The band were unable to attend the ceremony in person, but in a video acceptance speech said: “We’re very thankful and very happy – sorry we couldn’t make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we’re playing. It’s Glastonbury! So we’ll see you at Glastonbury – thanks a lot everybody!”
Meanwhile, Muse are scheduled to headline Download Festival this summer. Speaking about the event, Muse issued the following statement: “We’re really looking forward to Download. We’ve never played the festival before so it’s going to be really special.” The band are currently working on their new album ‘Drones’.
