The stars all get the crack in London's Monarch...

JARVIS COCKER, CATATONIA‘s CERYS MATTHEWS and THE STROKES were amongst the stars who turned out to see the MOLDY PEACHES play their first ever UK show last night (June 7).

The band, who have risen in popularity in the wake of fellow New Yorkers The Strokes, played a brief set at London’sMonarch, working through tracks from their recently released eponymous debut album.

After the show, The Strokes were involved in an altercation at the new Heavenly Social venue in Islington. They were thrown out of the venue after members of the band, the current NME cover stars, fought back when they were spat at by revellers in the club. The venue was celebrating its opening night.
