THE MARSHAL MAVERS ALBUM REISSUED

The group's 1990 eponymous classic contains five extra tracks...

THE LA’S are to re-release their eponymous debut album with five bonus tracks previously only available as B-sides.

The album, their only full release, will be reissued on January 29 via Universal Music. It will feature the original 12 tracks from the 1990 original, as well as five bonus tracks – ‘All by Myself’, ‘Clean Prophet’, ‘Knock Me Down’, ‘Over (Live In A Stable In Liverpool)’ and ‘IOU (Alternative Version)’. All five were originally released as B-sides to singles. The sleevenotes to the repackaged album have been compiled by the band’s former A&R man, Jona Cox.

The La’s formed in Liverpool in 1986, and featured Cast mainman John Power on bass, alongside vocalist Lee Mavers. The band disbanded in 1994, unable to record a follow-up to their highly acclaimed debut.
