NME.COM SWEEPS BOARD AT ‘INTERNET OSCARS’

We take home three PPAi awards - Best Editor, Best Innovation and Best Integration Of Media...

NME.COM swept the board at last night’s (October 9) PPAi awards – considered to be the Internet Oscars for the UK – taking home three awards, the most by an individual website.

NME.COM scooped three awards, for Best Editor, Best Innovation for our SMS services (NMETXT), and Best Integration Of Media for our work between NME, NME Radio, NME.COM and NMETXT.

The ceremony took place last night at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London (October 9).

Editor Anthony Thornton commented: “It’s great that the skill and application of the talented close knit team has been recognised. The way they’ve worked in the last year has demonstrated how much a small focussed team can achieve.”

These awards complement an already bulging awards cabinet that includes: Website of The Year (1999 & 2001), Internet Magazine’s Best Music Content, Webuser’s Best Music Site, and the only music news site in .net’s 100 Sites That Changed The Web.
