If Suge Knight, just moved to a holding centre, behaves, he can walk out a free man soon...

SUGE KNIGHT, the imprisoned DEATH ROW RECORDS chief, is set to be tranferred from his present jail to a new holding centre ahead of his probable release this summer.

Knight will be moved from Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California to an undisclosed location from where, if he behaves, he can walk out a free man in a number of months.

The label chief was jailed in 1996 for a parole violation. He had been on probation since 1992 when he was convicted of attacking two rappers in a studio.

A spokesperson for Death Row told [url=] he would be free 60 days after his move. However the Los Angeles Times reported that Knight would serve an additional 60 to 70 days.

During a recent interview from prison, Knight said he was eager, on his release, to pick up where he left off.

“The past is the past, and one thing about Death Row Records is it’s youthful,” he said. “The plan is to move forward and give opportunities and deals to those young artists out there… My plan is just to come out and do positive things but to have fun with it – really go back to the hard-working days of putting out great records and movies.”
