Ciara sues Future for £10.4 million

The lawsuit alleges slander and libel in tweets and interviews

Ciara is suing her ex-fiancé Future for £10.4 million ($15m).

The lawsuit alleges that the rapper, whose real name is Nayvadius Cash, slandered and libelled the singer in tweets and interviews.

According to TMZ, Ciara has cited several interviews and tweets within which Future appears to challenge her skills as a mother.

There is also a dispute over claims regarding the rapper’s access to their son, who is named Future.

Reports say that in one radio interview Cash responded to a picture of Ciara and her current partner Russell Wilson pushing baby Future in a pushchair by saying: “She probably set [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts.”

Ciara also took issue with a series of tweets Cash wrote in January, including one that said “This bitch got control problems” and another that read “I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future … the fuckery for 15k a month.”

The singer is said to be asking for all relevant tweets to be deleted and public discussion of their private matters to be barred in future.
