Band appeared on US TV show last night
Jeff Lynne’s ELO performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, playing both ‘When I Was A Boy’ and ‘Mr Blue Sky’.
‘When I Was A Boy’ features on the band’s new album ‘Alone In The Universe’. Released on November 13, the album is the first under the ELO name in 14 years.

Jeff Lynne’s ELO tour the UK next year. The Alone In The Universe Tour begins in Liverpool on April 5, with further dates in Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle to follow. Birmingham-born Lynne will return to the city for two dates at the Genting Arena before a two-night stint at The O2 in London rounds off the tour.
Lynne performed at BBC Radio 2’s Festival In A Day in Hyde Park, London, in September 2014, marking ELO’s return to the UK stage 28 years after their last full concert performance.
ELO enjoyed a run of 27 Top 40 hits from 1972 to 1986, when Lynne retired the group. He then reactivated the ELO name, with a different line-up, for the 2001 album ‘Zoom’.
