Singer also pens a song she is planning to pitch to Maroon 5 or Bruno Mars
Sia has confirmed that she has been married for eight months.
The notoriously private pop star tied the knot with film maker Erik Anders at their Palm Springs home.
But she only recently revealed the couple’s nuptials.
After being congratulated by Australian station Nova 96.9‘s DJs Fitzy and Wippa on her marriage, she said: ”Thanks. He met dad for the first time yesterday.
”They actually fell in love with each other and that was awesome.”
The singer said she has found it difficult to travel around her home nation without being spotted.
She said: ”It’s kind of disappointing because we can’t do anything. I’m kind of a bit famous. I didn’t realise I’m so famous.
”It’s crazy but I’m thinking I might rock a [disguise]. I’ve got some plans. We would really like to get out but also the rain is pretty crazy.”
Sia also revealed she has penned a song which she is keen to give to Bruno Mars or Maroon 5.
She said: ”I did write one [a song] right before we got together I like to say it’s about us.
”I’m trying to pitch that to Maroon 5 or Bruno Mars. It’s called ‘Step By Step’.”
The singer recently confirmed that she has finished work on a new studio album, titled ‘This Is Acting’, and claimed that she only released ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’, her sixth LP, to get out of a record deal.
“I was planning to be a pop song writer for other artists. But my publishing deal was as an artist so I had to put one more album out. I didn’t want to get famous so I kept all the songs I wanted and had a lot of fun making it.”
However, the success of the album has spurred her on to make more music. “I’m super productive. I have a full album ready to go and it’s much more pop,” she revealed.
“I’m calling it ‘This Is Acting’ because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go in thinking ‘this is something I would say’. It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”
