Ceremony took place on Sunday night (October 25)
The MTV 2015 Europe Music Awards took place on Sunday night (October 25), with the likes of Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding among the performers on the night.
The MTV EMAs were held at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, with Bieber performing his hit single ‘What Do You Mean?’, Williams playing ‘Freedom’, Goulding performing ‘Love Me Like You Do’ and Sheeran joining Rudimental for ‘Lay It On Me’.
Other live performances came from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who gave a rendition of ‘Downtown’ and Andrea Bocelli singing his classic ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ before joining singer-songwriter Tori Kelly for a cover of Pink’s ‘ Learn To Love Again’.

Bieber collected five awards at the ceremony, taking home gongs for Best Male, Best Look, Best Fans, Worldwide Act: North America and Best Collaboration for his work with Skrillex and Diplo on ‘Where Are Ü Now’.
Bieber is now the most EMA awarded artist of all time with 17 gongs, beating Eminem’s 15.
Other winners included Rihanna (Best Female), Sheeran (Best Live Act), Coldplay (Best Rock) and One Direction (Best Pop). Taylor Swift picked up the award for Best Song with ‘Bad Blood’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, while Best Video went to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for ‘Downtown’. Duran Duran were honoured with the first ever MTV Visionary Award.
