Kendal Calling has been named the most in-demand ‘alternative’ festivals of the summer, according to ticket site StubHub.
The ticket marketplace took at a look at the most popular festivals outside of the big, more established events, reflecting a growing trend in smaller weekenders.
StubHub found that Kendal Calling, which takes places in the Lake District during July, had the lowest average price for tickets and was the most in-demand, while Wales’ Green Man Festival had the highest price average per ticket.
Among the other popular smaller festivals listed included Wilderness, Boardmasters and BoomTown. See the full list below.
Nick Harford, StubHub’s Interim General Manager, said: “We’re fortunate in the UK that festivals cover such a broad range of genres and sizes throughout the year… It’s also great to see the growing popularity of more alternative festivals such as Wilderness and Green Man.”
