A 47 year-old man is thought to have suffered from a pre-existing cardiac problem
Reports state that a man died after collapsing at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee over the weekend.
According to Billboard, event officials confirmed that a 47 year-old man passed away on Friday (June 12). The unidentified individual reportedly collapsed in the event’s main area and was treated by an onsite medical team before being transported to a local hospital.

“Those who were with him informed our medical team that he was suffering from a pre-existing cardiac condition and, unfortunately, we understand that he has died,” the festival’s emergency services director Carl Monzo said in a statement. “The safety and security of our patrons are our top priority, and our medical staff responded flawlessly. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends.”
Media reports claim the incident is the 12th death in the festival’s 14-year history.
Meanwhile, Bonnaroo festival also saw Mumford & Sons cover The Beatles’ ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ with members of My Morning Jacket and The War on Drugs, plus The Office actor Ed Helms.
