Track included on rapper's new project 'Waves[s]'
Mick Jenkins has unveiled a video for his new track ‘Get Up Get Down’. The Nathan Smith-directed clip follows three dancers as they showcase their best moves on the grounds of an abandoned highschool. Scroll down to watch.
‘Get Up Get Down’ features on the Chicago rapper’s latest project ‘Wave[s]’, which dropped earlier this week. The release is the follow-up to Jenkins’ critically acclaimed 2014 mixtape ‘The Water[s]’ and features collaborations with Donny Trumpet (trumpeter Nico Segal), Sean Deaux, Saba and TheMind.
Jenkins also partnered with Kansas City-based painter Hayveyah McGowan to create a unique image for each song from ‘Wave[s]’. Plus, he’s releasing a limited line of bucket hats made in collaboration with designer Bozart. The one of a kind bucket hats are now available via the MC’s website.
Jenkins is due to arrive in the UK this October for performances in Leeds and London.
Mick Jenkins will play:
Leeds Headrow House (October 18)
London Oslo (20)
