The weather at this year’s V Festival looks set to be a generally sunny event at the Essex leg of the event but much cloudier at sister site Weston Park in Staffordshire.
This year’s festival takes place at the weekend (August 22-23) at Hylands Park in Essex and Staffordshire’s Weston Park. It will be headlined by Kasabian and Calvin Harris with performances also due from Mark Ronson, Sam Smith, Stereophonics, Chvrches, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra, The Kooks and James Bay.
The Met Office are currently forecasting a sunny day on Saturday in Essex when Kasabian will headline and Sam Smith, Hozier, Courteeners and Olly Murs will also perform. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 28 degreees celcius in the afternoon.
The outlook in Staffordshire is less optimistic, however, with light rain and cloud forecast throughout Saturday. Calvin Harris will headline that days events in Weston Park alongside The Script, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra and Stereophonics.
Rain is forecast for the Sunday at Hylands Park, but not until 4pm, while conditions will improve in Staffordshire but there is still no sun forecast for that day either.
The full line-up can be seen on the V Festival website. Last year the festival played host to Justin Timberlake, The Killers, Ed Sheeran, Elbow and Manic Street Preachers.
