Half Moon Run announce details of second album ‘Sun Leads Me On’ – hear new single ‘Trust’

Band also revel new London live date

Canada’s Half Moon Run have announced details of new album ‘Sun Leads Me On’ as well as a new London live date.

The band will release ‘Sun Leads Me On’ on October 23 through Glassnote Records (Chvrches, Mumford & Sons) and have revealed new single ‘Trust’ ahead of its release. Hear ‘Trust’ below, now.

‘Sun Leads Me On’ was recorded at Bathouse Studios in Ontario with producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele). It is the follow up to 2012 debut ‘Dark Eyes’

“Trust is somewhat of a strange song” multi-instrumentalist Dylan Phillips says of the new single. “It’s a departure from what you might normally expect from us. It’s the last song we wrote and recorded, and it was put together with a lot of fragmented ideas and somewhat of a chaotic energy. It feels a little bit like starting from the end, but leaves plenty of room to work back towards the beginning.”

The band will tour Britain in October on a run of live dates that includes a sold out gig at London venue Koko. However, they will return in March 2016. Half Moon Run play the Roundhouse on March 23 next year with tickets going on sale on August 14. The previously announced shows at London’s Oslo (September 21) and Koko (October 26) have now sold out.

‘Sun Leads Me On’ tracklist:

‘Warmest Regards’
‘I Can’t Figure Out What’s Going On’

‘Narrow Margins’

‘It Works Itself Out’
