The five men arrested over the weekend in connection with the alleged plot to kidnap VICTORIA BECKHAM have been remanded in custody after appearing at HORSEFERRY ROAD MAGISTRATES COURT today (November 4).
As reported earlier on NME.COM, the men – Azem Krifsha, 30, Joseph Rivas, Rusu Sorin, 31, Adrian Razvan Pasareanu, 28 , and Alin Turcu, 18 – were arrested in police raids on Saturday (November 2), and charged yesterday with various offences relating to the theft and handling of a jewelled turban worth £60,000 from Sotheby’s auction house in London, and conspiracy to rob an employee.
A total of nine people were arrested in the raids over the weekend. One woman has been released without charge, and two men and another woman have been bailed on unconnected matters, according to Reuters.
The news agency reports a Scotland Yard statement which said: “Inquiries into an alleged conspiracy to kidnap continue and all five men are also on police bail…pending further inquiries into these matters.”
