Victoria Beckham has confirmed that the Spice Girls won’t be touring after all.
Speaking to Vogue during a preview of her Autumn/Winter collection at Paris Fashion Week, Beckham, 43, said: ““I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”
Instead, the fashion designer said the group were currently ‘brainstorming’ ideas about what their reunion would mean.
She added, “There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming.”
Beckham also shot down the idea of a sequel to 1997 film Spice World.
The rumour mill went into over drive earlier this month when Beckham posted a photo of herself, Gerri Haliwell, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Mel B all together.
The meeting happened on February 2nd, and saw the musicians posting photos on social media of their first full reunion since the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.
Emma Bunton discussed the meeting on her Heart Breakfast radio show last week. The presenter said: “There’s lots of opportunities for us, especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world.”
Bunton added: “We need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like, “Oh we’ve got to pick the kids up! Quick!’”
Rumours of a reunion have been in circulation for the past three years, with three of the former members even forming a new group, GEM.
