Voting is now open for the VO5 NME Awards 2017 – see below for the categories and vote here.

In association with VO5 and taking place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 15 February 2017, the NME Awards will honour the best talent in music and culture from the last 12 months. With some huge names and bands performing on the night, tickets are on sale now.

Last year’s winners included Wolf Alice, The Maccabees, Taylor Swift, and The Libertines, while the likes of Foals, Coldplay, Bring Me The Horizon and Rat Boy all performed. This year’s event looks set to be bigger and better than ever.

“The NME Awards is always the most thrilling night in the music calendar, with amazing live performances, stellar guests and the odd bit of bad behaviour, all from within the temple of live music that is O2 Academy Brixton,” said NME Editor-In-Chief Mike Williams. “Last year’s event closed with a jaw-dropping performance from Coldplay, who picked up the Godlike Genius award, and not a table un-danced on. Can we top it this year? Of course we can – the VO5 NME Awards 2017 will be the best yet.”
