DJ Whoo Kid revealed to be Waka's running mate
Last week Hillary Clinton, this week Waka Flocka Flame. The Atlanta rapper has announced he’s running for President of the United States on the promise of immediately legalising marijuana, raising the minimum wage to $15, and imposing harsh restrictions on people with big feet.
“They have to take trains, cabs, and buses,” Flocka told Rolling Stone. “I don’t wanna see your big ass feet taking up all the space on the concrete.” Click below to watch his campaign video.
The tongue-in-cheek announcement was made yesterday (Flocka’s favourite day of the year is 4/20) and comes over two years after the ‘Hard in the Paint’ performer tweeted the assertion: “I’m dead ass running for president in 2016”. He’s also revealed that DJ Whoo Kid will be on the ticket as the potential next Vice President.
Waka was in the news last month after opting to cancel a gig at the University of Oklahoma following the emergence of a video showing members of a campus fraternity singing a racist chant. He had been scheduled to perform for the university’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity but pulled out after seeing the clip, which showed members singing along to a song which uses the N-word to describe African-American people.
Waka released a statement via Instagram explaining his decision, telling followers he was “disgusted and disappointed” by the incident and that “racism is something I will not tolerate”.
