A young rapper from the US has covered Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Humble’ on ‘Ellen’.
Nine year old Dylan Gilmer, who goes by the name Young Dylan is described as Ellen Degeneres‘ ‘favourite kid rapper’ and was invited on the show to perform today (June 5).
When asked what song he’s about to perform, Young Dylan furrows his brows and admits he’s forgotten what it’s called, before running over to completely own the stage with his version of ‘Humble‘.
“Thank you! Thank you! Appreciate it,” he says as the crowd gives him a standing ovation.
After the performance, Dylan screamed, “Oh my God!” in excitement when Ellen told him she’d adopted a cheetah in his name, as he loves wild animals.
When asked what clothes he’s wearing, Dylan responds: “All Gucci, Ellen, all Gucci!”
The confident young rapper also spoke about helping out at a homeless shelter as he wanted to “be kind to other people that doesn’t have homes”.
The nine year old currently has 229k Instagram followers and regularly posts clips of himself in the studio.
He first appeared on Ellen back in 2017.
