Last night saw Billie Eilish kick off her 2019 European tour, where she gave ‘Bury A Friend’ and ‘When I Was Older’ their live debut. See photos, footage and the setlist from the show below.
Eilish was performing at Kesselhaus in Berlin, where she played with her latest stage production to an enthusiastic crowd. The rising star, who appeared in the NME 100 of essential new artists for 2019, will hit the UK for tour dates at the end of this month before releasing her debut album ‘When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go‘ on March 29.
“When we made ‘bury a friend,’ the whole album clicked in my head. I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived,” said Eilish of her new track. “It inspired what the album is about. ‘bury a friend’ is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling? I also confess that I’m this monster, because I’m my own worst enemy.
“I might be the monster under your bed too.”
Billie Eilish’s setlist in Berlin was:
When I Was Older
Bitches Broken Hearts
Six Feet Under
