The song is the latest to be taken from the New York rapper’s major label debut album ‘Invasion Of Privacy‘, which was released earlier this year. In a four-star review, NME said: “Sure, she name-drops Fendi so often that she’d better get a discount next time she’s on Fifth Avenue. But overall, this is a remarkably confident and compelling debut from a superstar who’s put in the graft.”
Elsewhere in the video, Cardi is entangled in a web of phone lines, while the pair also appear in a futuristic looking, metallic set. Watch the Mike Ho-directed video below.
Meanwhile, despite ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ only being released in April, its creator has already begun teasing new music, which she says she wants to release soon. “There’s about five songs that I was supposed to put on ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ but they didn’t fit and make sense,” she told fans in an Instagram Live video earlier this month (August 8).
“So I’m gonna put it on this project that I really want to put out on September 1st, but I’m missing like four or five songs.”
However, Cardi will perform at three festivals in the coming months – New York’s Global Citizen Festival (September 29), Mala Luna in San Antonio (October 27-28), and Long Beach’s Tropicália (November 3-4).
