Watch Christine And The Queens’ beautiful Apple Music live film ‘Chris: Live From Salle Pleyel Paris’

The French star previewed her latest album 'Chris' during a special concert earlier this year

Christine And The Queens has released a new live film in conjunction with Apple Music, titled Chris: Live From Salle Pleyel Paris.

The French star, whose real name is Héloïse Letissier, released her second album ‘Chris‘ last week (September 21). In a five-star review, NME said: “On the evidence of ‘Chris’ – a deft and bogglingly-intelligent record, which somehow sounds blissfully effortless too – she’s earned her own place in the pop icon history books.”

Chris: Live From Salle Pleyel Paris was filmed at a special, one-off concert at the Parisian venue on September 13, where fans were treated to a preview of the new record. Included in the setlist were tracks including ‘Comme si on s’aimait’, ‘5 Dollars’, and ‘Doesn’t Matter (Voleuer de soleil)’. Watch the full live film below now.

Earlier this month, an Apple Music documentary about the musician titled Chris was released. It saw her discuss identity, femininity, and how her life inspires her art. “Identity is a constant construction, you have to reassess all the time and redefine it,” she said at one point. “‘Chris’ is actually me being comfortable in the mess.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Letissier said she “invented” the alter-ego of Christine as a “survival technique”. “I felt it would save me,” she said. “Then people started to listen to the album, so I thought, ‘Am I going to be healed?’ But it doesn’t work like that. I am more armed, but still have the same sadness.”

Christine And The Queens will embark on a UK headline tour later this year. Tickets for the dates are available to purchase here.
