See them perform 'Miracle' for 'Beginning'
Chvrches have teamed up with an orchestra for a stellar audio-visual spectacular to kick off new channel BBC Scotland. Check it out below.
The new film sees the trio team up with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to “bring together the worlds of synth pop and classical music”.
The first transmission for BBC Scotland entitled ‘Beginning’, features Chvrches performing the single ‘Miracle’ from their acclaimed 2018 album ‘Love Is Dead‘ – set to “living portraits of people and images from across the country”.
Having recently completed a lengthy UK tour, including a huge headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace, the band will be back in the UK this summer to perform at Reading & Leeds Festival in August – alongside The 1975, Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots, Bastille and many more.
As well as dropping the ‘Hansa Sessions EP‘ last year, Chvrches also teamed up J-Pop outfit Wednesday Campanella for surprise single ‘Out Of My Head‘, as well as covering Rihanna’s song ‘Stay’ for Spotify’s ongoing Singles series. It follows on from the band’s 2016 cover of Rihanna’s collaboration with Calvin Harris, ‘This Is What You Came For’, which they recorded for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
