Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl’s on stage antics have gone viral once again, this time for “adopting” a fan at a gig. Check out footage below.
The Foos were performing at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas, when before performing the track ‘Big Me’ the frontman noticed a fan holding a sign which read “NO DAD – BE MINE?”
“What? Dude, I have three kids. You wanna be my fourth kid?” Grohl told the fan, who was later revealed the be called Landon. “For the next four minutes. I’m gonna fucking, I’ll be your daddy.”
An emotional performance and an embrace then followed, before Landon told the audience: “I hope this is the best show that you’ve ever been to ’cause it certainly is for me.”
“I came here like, you know what, this is my first time being in the pit, I gotta do something, I want to get this guy’s attention because Dave Grohl is like, my idol,” Landon later told The Houston Press. “So I think, hey, let me make a sign and I felt like it would get his attention. I didn’t want to (show) it in the beginning, so I did it in the end and it worked out.”
He added: “I’m being completely serious when I say I’ve dreamed about that exact thing happening for year.”
This comes after another show on their current tour saw Grohl lose his mind over the impressive guitar skills of a fan in KISS make-up after he invited him on stage to perform ‘Monkey Wrench’.
Foo Fighters return to the UK for a run of tour dates in June.
