BTS have shared another teaser video for their new collaboration with Halsey, ‘Boy With Luv’.
The track will feature on the Korean boyband’s new album ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’, which is due for release on Friday (April 12).
The second teaser was released on Wednesday (April 10) and finds the band dancing in what look like the lobby of a cinema, a diner, under the “Love” sign from the first teaser, and outside on the street. Halsey is not present in the new clip. You can watch it below now.
The first teaser was shared on Sunday (April 7). The 46-second video sees Halsey clocking off from her shift in the ticket booth at the Persona cinema. As she walks away from the theatre, she stops to take a look at BTS, who are seated on a sofa in the middle of the street. The video ends with the band stood under a neon sign that reads “Love”, with their backs turned to the camera in a pose that recalls the video for their 2014 track ‘Boy In Luv’, which the title also references.
The Korean title for the song, ‘직은 것들을 위한’, translates as “A poem for the small things”. According to the teaser, it will be released at 18:00 KST on Friday – 10:00 BST. You can watch the videos above.
The teaser follows the first taste of ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’, which was released on March 27. The comeback trailer featured the song ‘Intro: Persona’, performed entirely by the band’s leader RM. The video also referenced BTS’ past work, harking back to the comeback trailer for their 2014 album ‘Skool Luv Affair’.
‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ follows BTS’ last album trilogy, the ‘Love Yourself’ series, which was released between 2017 and 2018. ‘Love Yourself: Tear’, the second album in the series, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Recording Package.
BTS will return to the UK in June when they will play two sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium. The dates follow their debut UK performances last October, when they performed for two nights at London’s The O2.
On Saturday (April 13), the band will make their debut appearance on SNL when they serve as the musical guest.
