Haim were named the winner of Best International Band supported by 19 Crimes Winery at this evening’s ceremony.

Collecting the award from model Portia Freeman and actor Tyger Drew Honey, Este Haim said: “Holy shit guys. Um. We want to thank the NME for always being so cool to us and always being champions of music.

“And also the fans, everyone here. And anyone that identifies as a girl. Whenever you walk into a guitar shop or a soundcheck or a recording studio, do not let anyone that’s there intimidate you, or make you feel like you don’t belong there, because you do belong there. Thank you.”

Last year saw the Los Angeles sisters return with a long-awaited second album in ‘Something To Tell You’, arriving four years after their acclaimed 2013 debut ‘Days Are Gone’.

Haim beat other nominees in their category including The National, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Paramore, and Migos to the award.
