The Haim sisters teamed up with Minneapolis rapper Lizzo to perform the Brandy & Monica Classic
Haim and Lizzo teamed up on stage in Seattle to cover Brandy & Monica’s 1998 hit ‘The Boy is Mine.’
The two acts switched up the lyrics to ‘The Girl is Mine’ at their Seattle show earlier this week (April 4).
You can watch a clip of the moment, shared to Haim’s Twitter page, below.
Minneapolis rapper Lizzo is currently supporting the Haim sisters as they kick off their Sister Sister Sister tour in America.
Announcing the news on Twitter, sisters Este, Danielle and Alana shared a video that saw them dancing to the Spice Girls outside Alexandra Palace – where they’ll be playing their biggest UK headline show to date.
The band recently celebrated their victory at the VO5 NME Awards 2018, where the Californian rockers bagged the gong for Best International Band supported by 19 Crimes Winery after beating off strong competition from The National, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Paramore and Migos.
During Haim’s acceptance speech, Este encouraged women not to feel intimidated in the music industry.
She said: “And also the fans, everyone here. And anyone that identifies as a girl. Whenever you walk into a guitar shop or a soundcheck or a recording studio, do not let anyone that’s there intimidate you, or make you feel like you don’t belong there, because you do belong there. Thank you.”
Later this month, the sisters will play at Coachella festival in California and they recently revealed that their set will feature visuals from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
