Watch Kali Uchis splice two tracks in her new video ‘Get Up’

Her debut album 'Isolation' was released earlier this month

Kali Uchis has shared her latest video ‘Get Up’ which features the two tracks ‘Gotta Get Up’ and ‘Body Language’ from her debut album ‘Isolation’.

The clip, which you can watch below, shows Uchis floating in a pool and dancing in a rain shower.

Uchis’ album features the likes of Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker, Blur’s Damon Albarn and Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator.

She was picked as one of the NME 100 list of new acts to watch out for in 2018. We described her as “wicked Latin-flavoured pop that refuses conform to any rules.”

Uchis recently told NME that she found it difficult launching a music career. “I experienced people not really believing in me, and feeling that I wasn’t going to go anywhere with my life,” she said.

“I’ve always been someone who without wanting to or without trying to, I draw attention to myself sometimes in negative ways. It made me sharp and it made me quick.”

She recently featured on Gorillaz tracks ‘She’s My Collar’ and ‘Ticker Tape’, Miguel’s groovy ‘Caramelo Duro’ and Tyler, The Creators’ ‘See You Again’.

NME’s Thomas Smith said each song on ‘Isolation’ “sounds wildly different from the last, but Uchis proves to be the constant, pulling and manipulating the strings in all the right places” in his review of the record. Read his review here.
