"Let's do this, you c**ts"
The talk, appropriately titled ‘Champagne Superanalysis’, comes after Dunham and Ben Lee had a deep Twitter exchange over the brothers back in the summer. In response, singer Dan Wilson asked to see “a staged reading of gallagher interviews. Noel’s interviews make me feel worldly-wise and Liam‘s make me feel victorious.”
The event held at the Largo in Los Angeles saw an introduction from Brad Pitt, as well as guest contributions to the discussion from Spike Jonze, Julianna Barwick, Jordan Black, Angela Trimbur, Penelope Gazin, Nick Mancini, Cary Brothers, Ione Skye, Ashley Blaine Featherson, Natasha Khan, Taylor Locke, Retta, Lisa Loeb and others.
Pitt opened proceedings by telling the audience: “Let’s do this, you c**ts”.
“A psychological exploration of the Gallagher Brothers through song and readings,” the description of the event read. “When you arrive at Will Call on the night of the show, seats will be assigned first come first served, from the front of the theatre to the back. If you want to sit closer, be sure to come earlier.”
Earlier this year, Noel teased that he may in fact have two albums’ worth of new material due for release. Speaking to NME, he suggested that some of his new material sounded like ‘The Police meets The Cure‘.
This week also saw Bands FC unveil new football badge logos for both Gallagher brothers.
