Lykke Li performed her latest single ‘Deep End’ on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert this week, and you can watch the footage below.
The performance comes after the release of the Swedish Singer’s fourth album, titled ‘So Sad So Sexy’. The album is the singer’s first in four years, since ‘I Never Learn,” was released in 2014. She gave the track its US TV debut with the help of a choir on Colbert this weekend.
Li worked with the likes of Jeff Bhasker, Malay, T-Minus, and ex-Vampire Weekend member Rostam on the record. NME gave the album four stars and said: “As always, there are chinks of light breaking through the darkness, only this time they seem all the more dazzling… This is really how you do summertime sadness.”
The singer recently released a trippy music video for the track, which documents an out of control night shot entirely on an iPhone.
Lykke Li recently announced a string of European tour dates, but so far she’s only got one scheduled stop in the UK at London’s Brixton Academy in November. Afterward, she will head to Europe for gigs in Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin.
Last year, the singer performed a duet of Bob Marley and the Whailer’s song ‘It Hurts to Be Alone,’ with Ryan Gosling for film Song To Song.
The singer recently performed at All Points East festival in London’s Victoria Park, where she showcased tracks from her latest album.
