As the London band played to a sold out crowd at the Resorts World Arena on Friday night, they were joined by Rogers on ‘Beloved’, taken from their most recent record.
It came after Rogers supported the band earlier in the evening. She’ll also open the show at the rest of the band’s forthcoming UK tour dates in Newcastle, Nottingham, London and Leeds. All remaining tickets for the shows can be found here.
Earlier this week, the band were forced to postpone a number of shows on their UK tour, after it transpired that “unforeseen logistical and technical challenges” would prevent them from setting up a “groundbreaking” new stage.
Posting on the band’s official Twitter account, they shared a statement explaining that they would reschedule dates in Liverpool, Cardiff, Sheffield and Manchester to some point in 2019. They have now confirmed the shows will go ahead in June.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, frontman Marcus Mumford said: “We hate letting people down. It’s been gutting to move them. There’s a lot of planning that goes in, travel, hotels and stuff, and it’s the last thing we wanted to do. But we’ve rescheduled the shows in June.”
